Even before I slip the cover off the kit box I need to start gathering up material and resources I need to accomplish the project. I'll of course dig into my stash of thin sheet aluminum that were once used for printing plates before the arrival of the digital age. These plates are harder and harder to find and I only tap into my very limited supply for special projects...such as this one.

So its time to get back building, do it as part of a group build to keep me motivated and share the processes of creating a battle damaged aircraft.

On this week's episode call in or post your New Year's Modeling Resolutions. If you post them to the show's page on Warbird Radio, you could start your year off with a free one year subscription to any one of the Sam Publications scale modeling magazine titles. My guest this week is a young 69 year old modeler who has contributed articles to Sam Publications as well as many other scale modeling periodicals. Frank Cuden calls southern Minnesota home, and with the long winters Minnesota is known for, it gives him plenty of time to build. Frank will share how and why he builds plastic scale models. Frank is a member of the IPMS-Twin City Aero Historians.
