Having spent the winter months in the south east, mainly in Florida where we attended a few scale modeling events we’re now heading north. Our most recent event was at Aniston, Alabama where the IPMS Phantom Phlashers put on a great show.
This coming weekend we’ll be in Knoxville, Tennessee for the event hosted by the Knoxville Scale Modelers Association‘s Annual Smokey Mountain Minicon followed by a quick trip north to Auburn, Indiana.
In Auburn, we’ll be at the AMPS National Convention which is a first for us. I’m looking forward to seeing the armor models, the museum and meeting up with friends new and old.
Then its on to northern Illinois for the IPMS Lakes Region Scale Modelers NIMCON 4.
After NIMCON we take a break to visit some stores and get to spend some time with family while in our home state of Wisconsin. This year we’ll be missing out on AirVenture in Oshkosh because we are scheduled to be in Columbus, Ohio because they didn’t bother consulting with us on the dates for the IPMS-USA National Convention which is being held at the same time as AirVenture. So we’ll be in Columbus for the NATS.
Then we make a huge transition all the way to the west coast…Portland, Oregon is where we’ll end up at the National Model Railroaders Convention.
At these events we are factory representatives for Grex Airbrushes and Xuron Corp. If you have question about or just want to try them hands on that’s why we’re there. In the next few weeks we’ll be planning our travel itinerary for the trip from Ohio to Oregon. We’ll try to accommodate as many stops along the way whether that be events, club meetings or calling on hobby retailers. Our only commitment for this trip is we are planning a stop in Great Falls, Montana to visit friends and see the changes made to the area since we left in 1992.
