Wavy Line Masking
By
For those of you who build braile scale models…1:144 or smaller, you might find this tip useful. I always look at everything as a potential resource for other uses. As I applied the last stamp from the book, I took note of the wavy edges of the stamps.
I’ve used round cut outs found on stamp books to create masks for roundels, but this wavy edging would be useful to do the wavy line between camo and light colored undersurfaces such as seen on many of the SEA schemes.
So before you toss those empty book of stamps…give what’s left on the page to see if there are any modeling useful modeling resources still attached.

You can also make your own “wavy” masks with a pair of scissors and post it notes.
True. But most of the scissors I’ve seen have too large of a radius between the curves for small projects such as those where you need two pair of reading glasses to see.
Great tip for the braille-scalers, Gerald.
A walk through the scrap-booking aisle at the local craft store really opened my eyes to an incredible amount of shaped cutting tools, as well.
