In today’s mail I received the first production sample of the new sprue cutter from Xuron Corp. The 2175ET Professional Sprue Cutter is an essential tool to have whether you are just getting started or been modeling for years.
The original cutter was good, but as they say there is always room to improve ones performance…so I set out to make the sprue cutter I needed for my scale modeling projects. After a year of experimentation and prototype testing the new 2175ET Professional Sprue Cutter became a reality. Designed by a scale modeler…ME! For modelers of all skill levels.
You’ll find that this sprue cutter applies less compression to the part before slicing cleanly through. It also has a longer deeply tapered cutting jaw that allows you to reach in between tightly placed parts on the sprue.
The 2175ET also features a larger longer curved ergonomic handle that fits more comfortably into ones hand. This provides greater stability and control when removing smaller parts from the sprues or trimming away access material.
